Fifty thousand years ago in the volcanic jungle of Flores, a primitive hominid is poised on the edge of genetic extinction. Their world is changing and Homo sapiens are emerging as the dominant species on earth.

The hominids fight back by stealing a woman through time.

Molecular archaeologist Ivy Carter is torn from her reclusive life in present day Melbourne to lead their prehistoric battle for survival. Unable to escape the ghosts of her past, Ivy’s own flawed humanity plays out on a global scale as evolution is rewritten into modern times.
